چکیده

This paper analyzes the effect of fluid flow characteristics on convection heat transfer for mini-helically coiled tubes (HCT) using supercritical carbon dioxide (CO2) as a natural refrigerant. Two experimental cases have studied in this work at different diameters with coil pitches analyzing resistance. In first case, inner tube diameter, diameter and pitch were 5 mm, 200 mm 10 respectively, while 100 second case. Moreover, has also investigated influence frictional pressure drop, flux, friction factor mass flux dimensionless exergy destruction. The environments 300-500 K an inlet temperatures range, 200-2000 Kg / (m2. s) fluxes 50,000-500,000 Reynolds number (Re) range 50-200 Kw/m2 range. As result, large been observed destruction compared CO2 which induced by irreversibility. On other point view, good sensitivity optimal Re dimeter noticed flux. At suitable Re, smallest best diameters. A correlation function main parameters related to wall properties geometric dimensions is proposed. Characteristics had influenced significantly fluxes. future, collected data can be employed order design improve refrigeration conditioning performance exchangers systems such pumps.

Analysis of variance of nanofluid heat transfer data for forced convection in horizontal spirally coiled tubes

In the present study, an experimental study is carried out to investigate the effect of adding Al and Cu nanoparticles to the base fluid (water) on the heat transfer rate in a spirally coiled tube. The spirally coiled tube is fabricated from the straight copper tube with the inner and outer coil diameters of 100 and 420 mm, respectively. The experiments have been done for water and two types of...

Comparison of convective heat transfer of turbulent nanofluid flow through helical and conical coiled tubes

Application of nanofluid and coiled tubes are two passive methods for increasing the heat transfer. In the present study, the turbulent flows of water and nanofluid in coiled tubes heat exchanger were numerically studied. CuO-water nanofluid containing 1 vol% copper oxide nanoparticles was used and single-phase approach was considered for nanofluid flow. The effect of different geometrical para...

CFD analysis of single-phase flows inside helically coiled tubes

It has been well established that heat transfer in a helical coil is higher than that in a corresponding straight pipe. However, the detailed characteristics of fluid flow and heat transfer inside helical coil is not available from the present literature. This paper brings out clearly the variation of local Nusselt number along the length and circumference at the wall of a helical pipe. Movemen...
